Episode 23: Beauty Marks Will Help
Beauty marks are daily, sense-based, present-tense small treasures that are hopeful, happy, and good. Small lighthouses. They don’t negate anything hard, but they help one to remember the beauty amidst the difficulty. She reads the original Things That Will Help by her brother Benjamin, who was the catalyst for this podcast.
There is so much difficulty these days. No matter what you are managing in your life, Buffy encourages you to discover the “beauty marks” in your own life by sharing the simplicities of her own. Her stories will have you “mhm-ing” and “mmmm-ing” for the duration of the episode. This week, make a list of your own beauty marks.
She references “Today” ‘by Mary Oliver, Anne Lammott, and Billy Collins.
